It's Raining (Money) in Las Vegas

After a rare July rain storm in Las Vegas this afternoon the skies cleared and the money poured down in the guise of the official prize payouts from the Bellagio Cup IV. First place is a life changing $1.6 million dollars unless your life is the same as current Day 1C chip leader Sammy Farha and then $1.6 million would be nice day at the office. Sammy Farha, by the way, is on my short list of great players who I'd love to see make the TV table on the WPT. He is also only one of two or three regulars in the Big Game at Bellagio who has never made a WPT open final (also Johnny Chan, Bobby Baldwin...am I forgetting anybody?). But now he has the home court advantage. Let's hope I didn't just jinx him.
